New topic

When you mentioned the Happy Hooker book, it reminded that last weekend (while the laundry was drying at the laundromat) I looked through all the crochet pattern books at Borders (Happy Hooker included - I liked it). Of course, it's the same old story, having no money for yarn I also have no money for new books, buuuuttttt for when I do find myself with some money. Which crochet books do you prefer?

There were a couple that were all wrapped up so that I couldn't even see what patterns were inside, and I thought to myself, "I'll never drop $20 to buy something I can't even preview." I bought the crochet pattern a day calendar under the same pretenses and found it mostly disappointing. It's nice to be able to look through all the books and see what they offer. I can't remember the titles now, but there were a couple of really good ones.

I know I'm going to have to invest sometime soon because both of our libraries only have really old pattern books - stuff from the 60s, 70s, and 80s - and while some people maybe able to pull off those fashions, I am not one of them!
