Well this was quite an interesting week for us! We had no work or university on Tuesday or Wednesday due to a snow emergency. Thursday it was back to the bump and grind - except the schools were still closed, so I just worked from my office and didn't see any of the kids. Today, the end of the week, we have a 2 hour delay.
So you're probably thinking: wow, with all that free time Charles' blanket must be near completion! Not really. Most of my free time was spent in good company with my hubby and our neighbors, so I didn't really get to work on it much at all. But I've been adding at least a couple of rows each night, so it is coming along.
Last night, just to switch things up, I set the body of the blanket aside and started working on the border. The border is going to be a blast. I love crocheting in the circle. This border is made up of 32 little 3-round-circles. Perfect! They're very easy to do, and I could probably complete about 15 of them in an hour - maybe more...I'm not sure. Plus they provide a really nice change from the same old sc in the body!
I'll have a picture of the progress soon! Happy crafting! And, oh yeah, have a blast at the Knit-Out! We expect a full recount of the day here!

Beth! I just saw your comment! Glad to see your reading this blog too! Keep us posted on your projects!
I hope you have time after she gets here too because you certainly don't have long at all until she's here!
Elaine -
About the Downy - that's what my mom does! Plus I figure eventually after the number of times this blanket is washed it will be soft whether it wants to or not!
Can't wait to see his blanket! Now we have a camera so hopefully I'll post some pictures of some of my projects soon. I just have to figure out how to get the pictures onto the computer. Will have to wait until Ken gets home ;-)
Actually probably we will have to wait until after Destination Jesus this weekend, since we're both volunteering ALL weekend!
