Birthday Party

Grandma's party was lovely! A very nice day for her, and I think she really did relax and enjoy herself. We rode up with my parents which meant...plenty of time to crochet! Between the trip up and back again I managed to crochet the rest of the first skein into the body of the blanket - yay! Now that's progress. In fact I need to measure the body because I don't think I have much longer to go.

I also got to chat a lot with my mother, Aunt Ann, and Grandma about crocheting and knitting. I think we all got very excited about our yarn weekend in a month! Both Mom and I were telling Aunt Ann all about the projects that we're going to bring up to get her expert advice on. Mom, I think, is bringing a couple of different project starts so she'll have plenty to do until our next weekend together!

Sidenote (not related to crochet): We also discussed the Fabian graduation parties. Aunt Ann said that the party probably wouldn't be until mid to late June, and I got all excited because that means we'll be able to bring Charles to meet everyone! It's so amazing to think about having a baby for everyone to hold and see! Plus that will be his first long car trip. I just love to think about everyone getting to meet him...sigh. Only 15 weeks to go! :o)
