Knit Out Schedule

I'm so excited! We're in the hotel having breakfast now, but we will be on our way in about 15 minutes. Here is the schedule for our day:

10-11 Vendors: We get to check out the latest yarns , patterns, etc., but no purchasing! I'm pretty sure we just get to take cards and order them on the internet and such later. Maybe I will do a review of some of these for my project.

11-12 Free Form Knitting: This is a new concept. No pattern, gauge, or plan whatsoever. Pick up the yarn and begin! We are going to learn how this works.

12-1 Tunisian Crochet: I believe this is an African form of crochet. We're going to learn how to do it.

1-1:30 Dog Fashion Show: Doggy sweaters - this is going to be sooooo cute!

1:30-2:00 Fashion show (human): This is what I am looking forward to most, and I plan on getting some video so you can watch it on my website!

Then we leave. :( Unfortunately it is a 6 hour drive home, and Mom and Dad have to turn around tomorrow morning and drive to Indiana.

I finished Grandma's socks, and they turned out ok. I accidentally did the ribbing at the top as K2, P2 instead of K1, P1 so its a little looser than I would have liked. They should fit fine though, especially after they're washed. Now I am knitting a pair of brown wool socks for Kyle. It feels really good knitting him something I know he needs. And he's such a great sport. He has been behind my knitting since day one. Every now and again he looks at me like I've gone overboard, which I never have of course, but mostly he is proud that I am good at it. And he loves the results, particularly when they involve him!

Sounds like a blast! And a full day. Plus it's always fun to stay in a hotel.

Can't wait to hear about everything you learn!
